Tribal Youth Coordinator


Position Description: The Tribal Youth Coordinator is responsible for planning and development of programs. The Tribal Youth Coordinator will portray professional behavior working with school-age tribal members and all school age children in the Tribe, in-house programs, outside agencies, and other Native organizations. You need to be self motivated, enthusiastic, and community-driven with respect to the Native community members to take on this exciting role. This position requires someone equipped with a positive attitude and readiness to be a team player. The Tribal youth coordinator must be able to implement and coordinate outreach activities.

Work Period: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $17.00


Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintaining a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, appearances, and other communication opportunities.

• Some travel may be necessary.

• Provide general administrative support for the project, including scheduling meetings, taking notes, and keeping records.

• Other duties as assigned.

• Oversee each program to ensure it meets our standards.

• Preparing a simplified budget for each program/activity.

• Networking and building relationships with collaborative partners.

• Work with care providers, parents, and children to improve our programs.



• Valid California Driver’s license required.

• Must be a self-motivated individual with good planning and organization skills.

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and randomized drug testing.

• Background Investigation

• High School Diploma

• written communication and presentation skills.

• Experience preparing simplified reports and questionnaires.

• Friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude.

• Detail-orientated with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time.

• Good in relationship building, collaboration and public speaking.

• Experience in program development and implementation.
